Beseme Mucho

If you want to know the single song I do not want to hear from groups playing and singing on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, it is "Beseme Mucho."
Might be a good song but I have never cared for it and it gets sung a lot down here.

On the other hand, "kiss me a lot" is beginning to have actual meaning.  As I approach 80 I see that there's not been much kissing in the last forty plus years of my life.  Judging from the "regency romances" and "romantic mysteries" I read, it is still in fashion.

I've never been "anti" kissing, just not involved much.  And didn't really know it was missing in my life.  There are likely entire years where nobody kissed me.

I'm also not known for being touchy feely and have been teased about my Scandinavian heritage more then once.  I am learning.

However, down here the customs differ, a greeting from anyone you know usually includes a handshake and a quick kiss on the cheek, men or women.

Here's what's happened.  A handsome charming man, completely out of my reach, although well acquainted and within my daily wandering, seems to think kissing me will make my day.  It does and I look forward to it. It isn't every day but it is some days. Not a big deal for any of you with significant others but its a big deal for me.  I try to learn Spanish phrases from my friends and he taught me a great one, "me gusta verte," meaning "I like to see you."

Every game changer matters and this one makes me happy, not scandalously obsessed, I hope, but happy.

Skip the singing, just beseme.
